Distance Lessons
With the advent of technology, it is now easy to take voice lessons from the comfort of home!
Many of my students who don’t want to fight traffic now take voice lessons from home. I teach students in all areas of the country via webcam and speakerphone with my distonce learning voice lessons. The process is just like the "regular lesson" process, but you don’t have to drive!. Distance Voice Lessons can be Video and/or Audio only.
Video lessons
You will need:
- a computer
- high speed internet service
- AIM or SKYPE account
- webcamera (Logictech makes a good one for PCs) If you have Apple, you will use ichat with an isight camera.
- Give me your AIM or Skype contact address.
At your distance voice lesson time, sign in to AIM or ichat (Apple) after hooking your webcam up to your computer. If you have PC, you can download Skype (http://www.Skype.com) We will discuss the contact information needed prior to the class time. I can refer a tech consultant to you who will help you set up ichat or Skype if you would like.
Recording your Lesson:
You can even record your lessons using "Conference Recorder", an inexpensive program available for download at http://ecamm.com. This great program records both the video and audio of your lesson, which you can see as many times as you like! You can also convert the video to an MP3 file and burn an audio CD if you want to!
Audio Lessons
Equipment used for audio lessons can vary. If you have a speakerphone, or would like to take a lesson by cell phone with earbuds, that is also an option. We can use a computer with Skype or AIM to do an audio- only lesson.
Still have questions? Email the consultant.- If you are indisposed, live in another state, or don’t feel like driving, please consider studying by webcam.
