Claire Armitage, Voice (All Styles)

Ever since she was a child, Claire has always dreamed of becoming a professional singer and she has dedicated her life to achieving that goal.Currently, Claire is  working towards her B.A. in Music and a certification in Vocal Styles.

Claire has 10+years of experience in choral singing including Harmony: Atlanta’s International Youth Chorus, Georgia All State Chorus, St. Luke’s United Methodist Choir of Columbus, GA, and the Schwob Singers of Columbus State University. The Schwob Singers were chosen over 80 choirs from across the nation to perform the debut of Jocelyn Hagen’s premier composition “The Notebook of Leonardo Da Vinci” at Carnegie Hall.

Claire has worked as a recreational gymnastics coach at Gymnastics Unlimited for 3 years. She has worked with children of all ages and gained a multitude of skills and solidified her passion for teaching.

Although she has a rich background in classical vocal training, her true love has been to sing jazz, pop, R&B and Musical Theater. Claire has participated in many singing competitions throughout her life and has always performed well, winning the 2011 Lilburn Idol competition in her age group as well as twice becoming a finalist in The Gift singing competition sponsored by McDonald’s. She has also studied voice at Jan Smith Studios in Atlanta and has been featured in her annual showcases.

With 10+ years of experience performing as a soloist, in choral groups, and mentoring, Claire possesses the skills and enthusiasm for teaching students of all ages. Seeing students improve their technique and grow as musicians is what inspires her most.
